Through July and August, we review your final grades to ensure you:
Changes to applicants’ level of academic standing are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
You are responsible for completing your degree-specific course requirements and providing 鶹with the documents confirming these conditions have been met. If you fail to meet any of the conditions listed above, you may lose your offer of admission to UBC.
*BC high school students graduating from June 2022 onwards are required to complete the Grade 12 Literacy Assessment to demonstrate high school graduation. If you graduated before this date, 鶹will not ask you to show any results from the exam.
鶹requires you to achieve “Proficient” on the Grade 12 Literacy Assessment to maintain your offer of admission. BC high school applicants who do not meet this level of proficiency will have their admission offers reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If the April and June sittings of the Grade 12 Literary Assessments are cancelled by the BC Ministry of Education, 鶹will not require a result from the exam to maintain your offer of admission.
British-patterned education: Your final A-Level (or AS-Level) grades have a combined drop of 2 letter grades or more. Your final grades in English or Math have fallen below a grade of B.
American curriculum: Your final grades have a combined drop of 2 letter grades or more in your academic subjects. Your English and Math grades have fallen below a grade of B.
India Secondary School curriculum: You have not maintained your academic standing in required courses or you did not achieve 85% or above on your final Standard XII Board exam results.
Chinese Secondary School curriculum: You have not maintained your academic standing in required courses OR you have not met a minimum provincial Tier 1 Gaokao cut-off score. If you are not writing the Gaokao, you must achieve competitive results in other recognized examinations such as the Advanced Placement exams, A Levels, or International Baccalaureate exams. For more information on the specific scores that are required, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
All other international high schools: Your grades have fallen since 鶹made an offer of admission or if any required test scores are not consistent with your grades in your academic subjects.
