Happy Reading!
She will now tell us herself how it all started and continued till date:
March 23-24, 2019
“We don’t meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason”.
I attended two live sessions in D.H.A Karachi. One of my supervisors at institute and member of Dawah Motivation (Farheen Khan), asked me to go with her at some session, I agreed just because I couldn’t say no to her, out of respect. It was the first time I heard the word “Dawah” and came to know that there are people who are busy in calling people to Allah with excellence. This was the strangest yet beautiful, in fact life changing experience of mine. The way brother Nadeem explained how we can call people to Allah through the concept of GORAP, how to win hearts and much more. It truly changed my perspective towards life.

Joined Dawah Motivation (DM) officially; one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It made me grow and benefited in countless aspects of life; optimism, empathy, confidence, dealing with rejection, dealing with general life problems, networking etc. Commitment with DM, actually brought barakah to my life.
“When man immerses in the work of Allah, then Allah engages in the work of His servant”.
It engages me with real purpose of my life and also its unique content and way of approach always fascinates.

Campus dawah/ dawah stall at ‘Dow International University of Health and Sciences’ with my three friends who were there for moral support. I explained the concept of GORAP and some basic do’s and don’ts of stall dawah to them previously. Although, I had done public speaking many times but this time it was quite different, I was nervous and excited at the same time. While setting the stall, Quranic ayahs and brother Nadeem Ashraf’s words of motivation kept going in my mind; that was enough to make me feel enthusiastic.
I had a conversation with almost 8-10 people (including non-Muslims and non-practicing). In the end, I felt alive! During training brother always used to say that “Wallahi! you feel alive after giving da’wah” hence, that was a moment I could be able to realize it practically.

Fahila Iqbal (my classmate and close friend) joined DM, this is how Karachi team was established. We were only a team of ‘three’ back then.
October 11, 2019
We three went for mall dawah at Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karach, Pakistan. It was a new exciting experience for us. Interacted with many non-Muslims there. Moreover, we talked to one Chinese woman who wanted to accept Islam, we described about basics and oneness of Allah to her.

We went for Campus dawah at “Karachi University” with same mates who were at previous campus dawah stall (two of them were not part of DM at that time). We intended to make new friends and have a good, deep and profound conversation with different people. As I see it, campus dawah its really convenient to connect with youth due to the fact that people are usually open-minded, love to listen and to be listened, take compliments positively. As per our plan we actually made some quality pals (one friends group of 6-7 girls). They were amazed by Hadith cards and chocolates and when I was speaking about Allah and His greatness, I could see tears in the eye of some girls, that feeling was over-whelming.

Four sisters got inspired and joined DM. Two (Iqra shahid and Humna Rehman) of them already went for campus dawah at both universities which is mentioned above. Other two were new in this field (Umme hani and Amna).

Karachi team formed officially, comprised of 8 members.

A virtual event was organized by Karachi team. Karachi team didn’t take lockdown as obstacle in the way of dawah, rather they turned it into opportunity to try something new and creative by the grace of Allah (May Allah accept). 35 people attended, the theme was makeup and trendy clothes as per the interest of audience. In the end profound and thought-provoking reminder over the last 5 minutes was shared. It was an interactive and informal event.

A little hi-tea party was arranged at my place to avail lounge dawah opportunity. 10-15 people of my town were invited during COVID-19 pandemic. Most of them were teenagers, hence we played some games of their interest. In between all of this joy; playing, cracking jokes, giving compliments to each other, when they started talking about pandemic, I linked this conversation with purpose of life, oneness of Allah etc. After this purposeful conversation we watched a 5-minutes powerful video. At last, I had detailed conversation with one girl who is surrounding by many agnostics, homosexuals’ companions and she herself was taking baby steps to practice Islam.

“Park dawah” in D.H.A with karachi team. We approached different people in a group of two people. We communicated with few people and others were busy in jogging thus, we just handed them gifts and flyers. While highlight of this experience was conversation with 2 nurses who were non-Muslims, we talked about depression, conveyed the message of Allah and climaxed our conversation with gifts again. In my opinion it was little difficult as it is little difficult to communicate with older people than youngsters.

Our journey will Insha’Allah continue beyond what I have quoted above.
I hope and pray to Allah to give me more opportunities to get involved in the Dawah and remain consistent for the rest of my life.
May Allah bless us all with the love and passion for Dawah and put barakah in our work. Ameen!
