Before you apply

Find out more about what life is like at UBC, and what makes it one of the world’s top 40 universities. There are a number of information sessions available to you that will help you learn more about living and studying at UBC, deciding which degree is right for you, and how to submit your application.

Â鶹µ¼º½runs a number of in-person and online events that are tailored to your curriculum, country, province, or territory. Join us to learn about our two stunning campuses, admissions processes, housing, and student life.

 

After you've applied

Discover what your next steps are after you’ve submitted your application. At these information events, you’ll find out more about your required supporting documents and how to submit them, and meet other Â鶹µ¼º½applicants from your region to start building your community.

Join us in-person or online to make your first connections, hear from your Faculty and current students, and ask your questions to our Â鶹µ¼º½advisors.

 

After you've been admitted

Congratulations on your offer to UBC! Now you’ve been admitted, learn more about why you should accept your offer to UBC, meet your new classmates for the first time, and ask your questions to our advisors and your Faculty representatives to help you determine whether Â鶹µ¼º½is the right place for you. Whether you join us in-person or online, you’ll receive insider tips and advice about preparing for UBC.

If you’ve been admitted to the Okanagan campus, you may be eligible for a number of additional events, including a meet and greet with your faculty, a panel hosted by Okanagan students, and more.

 

Additional events for Indigenous students

If you are Indigenous (a member of First Nations, Inuit, or Métis peoples in Canada), you can take part in the sessions listed above, as well as a number of events designed specifically to help you learn more about Â鶹µ¼º½and navigate your application journey. These sessions will be offered from September to December.

  • Indigenous Campus Tours: Meet an Indigenous student ambassador who will highlight their favourite locations on either of our two campuses, show you Indigenous-specific spaces, and help you navigate programs and resources for Indigenous students. After the tour, an Indigenous Recruiter Advisor will be available to answer your questions.
  • All About Â鶹µ¼º½for Indigenous Students: Learn about UBC’s two campuses, the academic programs they each offer, and what life on campus looks like. You’ll discover when and how to apply to UBC, get help on financial planning, and find out about the resources and services available to Indigenous students.
  • Indigenous Â鶹µ¼º½Application Workshop: Our Indigenous Recruiter Advisors will walk you through a demonstration of UBC’s online application, and provide tips for writing a strong personal profile.
  • Indigenous Finances at Â鶹µ¼º½Workshop: Learn about UBC’s Indigenous-specific awards and deadlines, and get tips for submitting your awards applications.
